One out of 10 people aged 65 or older in the US has dementia. People living with the disease can experience moments of confusion, withdrawal, and aggression. Not only do they experience loss of language, direction, and mental function, but their loved ones and care- givers often serve as memory keepers and experience tremendous loss also. In my current photographs, my goal is to create the psychological atmosphere of a woman living with dementia.
