Everything is Not OK

Frank Fuerst
Coming home from a walk at a park in south Atlanta I had to do a U-turn when I spied this strip mall and parking lot out of the corner of my eye. This was taken in July, when we were all so weary from the relentless series of tragic and cataclysmic events. I was feeling particularly beaten down as I had just been diagnosed with some serious heart problems and would be going in for surgery within a week. Tears came to my eyes as I sat dumbly in my car in this enormous empty parking lot, scared for myself, scared for my family, scared for the people of this neighborhood, our country and the world.
